Global technology innovator LG Electronics launches two new Door-in-Door Inverter refrigerators to further strengthen its commitment to providing products that enrich lives and promote health. The 2-Door with freezer model features the energy efficient Smart Inverter Compressor that automatically adjusts its cooling speed to the quantity of food inside the refrigerator. It also has the Bioshield Gasket that preserves the freshness of your food as it is treated with an anti-microbial agent.

Bigger families and food lovers will rejoice the new 25.6 cu. ft.5-Door model’s Smart Organization feature. Korea’s LG Sakers to battle PH’s Barangay Ginebra in ASIAN BASKETBALL SHOWDOWN

Filipino and South Korean cagers had been pitted against each other in international basketball tournaments, especially in the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Asian Championships, where Korea thwarted the bid of the Filipino contingent to enter the World Cup several times.

That is, until last year when the Philippines demolished the Korean squad and secured the country’s spot in the FIBA World Championship this August.

To celebrate this arch rivalry between the two countries, LG Electronics presents a first of its kind basketball game in the Philippines dubbed the Asian Basketball Showdown.

In this historic event, LG will be bringing to the Philippines one of South Korea’s top basketball teams, the Changwon LG Sakers, to have a basketball match with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) cagers Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

The Asian Basketball Showdown is slated on September 9, 2014, Tuesday, 6:00 PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

South Korea vs. the Philippines

South Korea’s seasoned champions, the LG Sakers leads the attendance rankings in eight out of 10 seasons of the Korean Basketball League (KBL). It is the team supported by LG Electronics which is headquartered in the city of Changwon in Gyeongsang.

Playing against the LG Sakers and representing the Philippines in the Asian Basketball Showdown is one of the pioneering teams in PBA history—the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Emerging as one of the most popular teams among Filipinos, the team currently holds eight PBA titles and has become one of the all-time fan favorites.
