Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) along with all of its food and restaurant brands in the country has begun piloting an interactive mobile ordering system via chatbot, with a seamless payment experience powered by PayMaya.

 

Customers in select areas can now use their credit, debit, or prepaid cards  as well as their PayMaya e-wallet accounts to pay for their favorite food items and meals via the Facebook Messenger channels of  Jollibee, Burger King, Chowking, Mang Inasal, and Red Ribbon — which are all currently running on beta version.  This will soon be available in the Facebook messenger of Greenwich as well.

 

All they need to do is type “#order” and send this to the Facebook chatbot of their favorite JFC restaurant, select the meal they’d like to order, pay by selecting their preferred cashless payment option, and wait for their food to be delivered in their homes.

 

As an added treat, customers can get up to 100% cashback when they pay using their PayMaya registered mobile number upon ordering via chatbot with a minimum spend of P500.

MANILA, MAY 25, 2020 – As part of its coordinated COVID-19 relief efforts around the world, TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile video, is launching for the first time, two live vertical-format K-POP concerts – “TikTok Stage Live From Seoul” on 25 May, 4PM PHT, and “TikTok Stage With HIPHOPPLAYA” on 27 May, 7PM PHT.

The star-studded concert series is open to viewers in the Philippines and around the world. Fans will get the chance to enjoy their favourite K-POP acts from the comfort and safety of their homes, while doing their part to aid COVID-19 relief efforts. For every live viewer who tunes in, TikTok will donate US$0.50, and all funds raised will go towards supporting charity efforts for those most affected by COVID-19. 

The full-fledged concerts will go live on the TikTok Stage in-app channel, featuring purely live performances and no pre-recordings. The glitzy line-up for “TikTok Stage Live From Seoul” on 25 May includes 9 popular K-POP idol groups, such as Monsta X, iKon, Kang Daniel, AKMU, Apink and more. On 27 May, the excitement continues with “TikTok Stage With HIPHOPPLAYA”, where eager fans can look forward to another jaw-dropping concert with the breakout roster of Jay Park, Zico, Epik High, Crush and Dean, and more superstars.

These massively talented groups have not only risen quickly to popularity in the Philippines, but  are also dedicated to engaging fans and helping raise funds through their music. The #TikTokU Program aims to bring learning straight to everyone’s smartphones for users to gain access to practical tips and up-to-date knowledge, all from talented creators in the Philippines.
With the platform’s diversified content, users are provided with a library of educational videos ready for consumption within a minute or less. These days, education is no longer confined to classrooms, and the ways of learning are changing, too. TikTok is giving alternative and accessible ways for the thirsty creative minds of Filipinos open to discovering new ideas. We believe that everybody deserves access to various forms of education. That is why we launch #TikTokU. The first round of #TikTokU will be kicked off on May 25, with a search for creators to add to its elite roster of teachers and instructors. This first phase will focus on creators of Science and Education, DIY and Life Hacks, and Advice and Motivational content. 
Entries will be categorized into four tracks, based on the user’s number of followers, to create fair and equal opportunities for all participants. The four tracks are:
         Senior Scholarship: Open to those whose followers are 500k and above on TikTok 
         Junior Scholarship: Open to those with 100k to 500k followers on TikTok
         Sophomore Scholarship: Open to those with 10k to 100k followers on on TikTok
         Freshman Scholarship: Open to those with under 10k followers on TikTok
Those who are interested to join the #TikTokU Program may submit entries following these simple rules and guidelines:
  • Entrants must create at least 3 entries for the campaign.
  • Content must be educational and useful, and must fall under the Science and Education, DIY and Life Hacks, or Advice and Motivational themes, with the assigned hashtag/s incorporated.
  • The ideal duration and format of videos are 30 seconds and above, shot on a 9:16 vertical screen.
  • The campaign is open to all creators aged 18 and above from the Philippines.
  • Videos must adhere to the TikTok community guidelines.
  • Winners will be selected based on the total video views of all eligible videos they post during 
the campaign. A candidate-ranking dashboard will be updated regularly to reflect the most viewed creators in each track. 
Creators who are selected for the #TikTokU Program stand to win cash rewards, and will be invited to the #TikTokU Creator Group, where they will receive development and growth support from TikTok as follows:
         Senior Scholarship (5 winners) – PHP40,000 cash, and 1-to-1 support for 3 months
         Junior Scholarship (15 winners) – PHP30,000 cash, and 1-to-1 support for 3 months
         Sophomore Scholarship (30 winners) – PHP20,000 cash, and 3-month upskilling
         Freshman Scholarship (75 winners) – PHP10,000 cash, and 3-month upskilling
The first round of the the #TikTokU Program will run from May 25 to June 15, 2020. Winners will be announced on June 19.

Kevin joins the company following a long and successful career at Disney (NYSE: DIS), most recently as Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer & International. Additionally, Kevin led the company’s other direct-to-consumer businesses, including Hulu, ESPN+, and Hotstar, as well as overseeing Disney’s international operations, global ad sales, and global content sales.

Truly an inspiration to her fellow youth, Kimberly has proven that it is possible to touch the lives of others through the content that you post online. In one particular instance, she was able to help a fan that was battling depression. She shares, “Meron po kasi akong fan na ano po, may depression. Anxiety po. Matanda po siya na nakatira po sa UAE tapos pinapanuod niya po yung mga blog ko po sa TikTok. Nawawala raw po yung homesick [sic] niya tapos nakakatulong po yun sa pakiramdam niya. Kasi nakakarelate po siya sa video ko. 

 

With 1M followers and 5.5M likes on TikTok, the Multimedia Arts student says that, while she intends to continue creating content, her goal is really to finish her studies. When asked to share a short message with her followers, Kimberly laughs and says, “Maraming maraming salamat po sa pagsuporta sa akin at mabuhay po kayo hanggang sa gusto niyo!”
