Vhong Navarro returns to the big screen with his brand of comedy in Unli Life, Regal Entertainment Inc.’s upcoming movie offering.
The film is also Regal’s official entry to the forthcoming Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino film festival.

Just last year, Vhong entertained the audience with two comedy films, : Mang Kepweng Returns and the blockbuster hit with Lovi Poe from Regal Entertainment, Woke Up Like This.
With Unli Life, the talented comedian is sure to tickle our funny bones once more with his impeccable comic timing and witty dialogues.
Having been in the industry for 26 years, Vhong has made his mark in comedy genre and his comedic flair for likened to that of Hollywood star Jim Carrey.
In Unli Life, Vhong portrays (name of character), who is given a chance to mend the breakup with his girlfriend, played by Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez, by going back in time through the help of a magic whiskey, called “wishkey.”
By drinking “wishkey,” (name of Vhong’s character) is transported in different time periods, such as the Dinosaur Era, Magellan, and the ’70s Era, in an effort to correct his mistakes and prevent her girlfriend from breaking up with him in the current time.
The film tackles about how much willing one is willing to go great lengths to get back that one person you love the most and what one is willing to do just to preserve it.
After making the country proud by being the first-ever Filipina contestant and eventually crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2017, Unli Life marks Teresita’s comeback to acting.
Teresita, together with her fellow beauty queens from Miss World Philippines, signed up with Regal Entertainment, Inc. last October 2017.
Unli Life also marks Teresita’s first major role and as a leading in the movies.
The movie is directed by Miko Livelo, and Unli Life marks his second full-length commercial directorial job.
His credentials include being the writer and director of the 2013 indie film Blue Bustamante and as a writer for number of television series.
Unli Life is a star-studded movie that also stars Joey Marquez, Ejay Falcon, Donna Cariaga, Jon Lucas, Isabelle de Leon, Alex Calleja, Kamille Filoteo, Red Ollero with James Caraan, Anthony Andres, and Jun Urbano.
Special participation includes Dimples Romana, Joem Bascon, Jun Sabayton, Epi Quizon and Jhong Hilario.

Hollywood have featured celebrity team-ups, who were not couples in real life, but their movies still became blockbuster hits.

In Regal Films, Inc. upcoming movie So Connected, Jameson Blake and Janella Salvador are pairing up for the first time.

It did not take them long to realize their chemistry after they met on the set to start filming. It is proven that it does not have to be real life couple to have the magic onscreen just like what Janella and Jameson in So Connected. 
Audience will surely be charmed on the flow of the story from how Karter Calma (Jameson Blake) pursues the Trisha Biscocho (Janella Salvador) and the sequences that follow are genuine. This is a romantic story of real people and very relatable. Audience will get hooked without getting distracted because the main leads are not superficial in portraying their roles. There is magic between Janella Salvador and Jameson Blake onscreen that will ride you to their journey of falling in love. 
In the movie, Jameson plays Karter (Jameson), a video editor for a web channel whose phone got stolen by a crook. 
By twist of fate, the phone falls into the hands of Trisha (Janella), an independent young woman trying to support her family. 
Through modern technology, Karter gets a glimpse of Trisha’s life in videos and photos uploaded in the online world and finds himself slowly falling for her and then resolves to find her. 
Will he be able to convince Trisha that they have a genuine connection and win her heart? 
A must-watch scene in the movie is when Karter and Trisha do a duet together in the carinderia where Trisha is employed as a server. 
In an interview, Jameson was more vocal about the undeniable chemistry between him and Janella. 
He says, “I met her sa set. Nakita ko na may chemistry, yung feeling na di kailangan mag-exert ng effort, kusang lumalabas, that’s what I noticed.” 
As early as 2015, Jameson has been consistent in naming Janella as his celebrity crush in various interviews. 
Asked how his first meeting with Janella was, Jameson describes, “More than I expected. She was really approachable and nice to talk to. Nagkwentuhan kami. I got along with her.” 
He recounts that he exerted effort to reach out to his crush after meeting. 
“We talked about stuff we’re both interested in. 
“We just eventually started talking. 
“And I was happy that she’s actually nice.” 
On her part, Janella knew that it would not be hard to establish rapport with her new leading man. 
The Kapamilya actress enthuses that working with Jameson in So Connected was a breeze. 
“He’s very nice, actually. I have no problem working with him at all because sobrang light lang ng aura niya. 
“Sobrang good vibes lang and masaya siya ka-work,” Janella expressed. 
However, their team-up did not come without challenges. 
But the young actress is up to the challenge to make his team-up with Jameson work, regardless if they are not a real-life couple. 
“It’s always nice to try something new and I think it’s good growth din as an actress. 
“Whatever personal it doesn’t necessarily have to be the same for work,” she explains. 
Furthermore, Jameson’s gut feel was validated when the production people saw that the two have chemistry while they were shooting the film. 
“They believe that we could actually pull off the movie that they like. It’s a great experience,” Jameson beams. 
So Connected also stars Paulo Angeles, Krystal Brimner, Cherise Castro, Ruby Rodriguez, Rolando Inocencio and is directed by the highly-respected Jason Paul Laxamana and will open in cinemas on May 23.

Janella Salvador and Jameson Blake agree in saying that their team-up in the upcoming movie, So Connected, is significant for both of them. 
For one, this is their first time to work together. 
For his part, Jameson explains that he has always been vocal in his past interviews that Janella is her dream leading lady. 
“Before, people would always ask me, ‘If you would work with a leading lady, who would you choose?’ I’m like, ‘Maybe Janella, I think maybe we’d be a good match for a movie.’ 
“I’m like, ‘Someday baka may movie kami ni Janella. Maybe it would come true.’ I actually dreamt about it,” the Hashtags member recounts.

“I never really expected it would come true,” he enthuses about his granted wish. 
The budding actor also points out why So Connected is a huge milestone in his showbiz career: What could be better than finally getting your first big role and be paired with your dream leading lady? 
“Ito so far ang pinakamalaking role ko as a bida sa mainstream. Kasi nag-indie [movie] ako, so ito mainstream na ito. It’s like a big step in my life. 
“It’s really special for me. Kasi I always wanted to work with Janella. and I’m happy it actually came true,” he says with excitement. 
Though it is their first team-up, Jameson is happy to hear that the staff and crew of the production team is optimismic that his onscreen partnership with Janella shows a lot of promise. 
“They believe that we could actually pull off the movie. It’s a great experience,” he beams. 
“They really like the movie,” referring to the production team. 
Meanwhile, the team up is a breath of fresh air for Janella. She only has good words for Jameson. 
“He’s very nice, actually. I have no problem working with him at all because sobrang light lang ng aura niya, sobrang good vibes lang, and masaya siya to work with,” she commends. 
Coming from a solid love team in the previous Regal Entertainment movie, Janella admits that she had to adjust in working with a new leading man in the person of Jameson. 
However, she welcomes this change because this will only help her to a better actress. 
“Syempre, may adjustment. Medyo after a few projects with the same leading man, di ako sanay na bago, pero it’s always nice to try something new. I think it’s good growth din as an actress,” she articulates. 
Janella’s role in the movie is Trisha, a self-supporting young woman, who hopes to help her family. 
Popularly known for portraying teeny bopper roles, Janella finally gets the chance to portray an out-of-the-box character. 
“Nag-enjoy ako dito sa role na ‘to kasi nga it’s something different for me, kasi halos lahat ng roles na ginawa ko before maarte o kaya younger. 
“Ito, hindi lang mature. Mas jologs talaga yung character ko. Sobrang jologs niya,” she giggles. 
“And it’s so fun to do it kasi in real life, may makulit side din talaga ako. So nalabas ko sa character na ito.” 
Jameson, on the other hand, portrays Karter, a video editor for a web channel who finds himself falling for a complete stranger (Trisha) after he gets a glimpse of her life in videos and photos uploaded in the online world. 
Just like Janella, Jameson also feels connected to his role. 
“May mga similarities kami; I’m shy and quiet minsan. I just want to be on the computer a lot. I’m just like him; his attitude and the way how he approaches different kinds of situation. I didn’t have much adjustments to it,” describes the actor. 
So Connected, which is produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc. and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana will be showing in cinemas on May 23. 
The film also stars Ruby Rodriguez, Rolando Inocencio, Cherise Castro, Krystal Brimner, Paulo Angeles, VJ Mendoza, Chai Fonacier, Rafael Sudayan and is directed by the highly-respected Jason Paul Laxamana.

Regal Entertainment, Inc. is coming up with a Mother’s Day offering this May, which honors all the mothers out there; whether they are biological mothers or mothers at heart.
My 2 Mommies, which mainly stars Paolo Ballesteros, Solenn Heussaff, and Maricel Soriano is a touching movie that celebrates motherhood and aims to show that more than the gender, being a mother is all about a parent’s unconditional love for to the child.
My 2 Mommies tells the story of Manu, a discreet gay guy, with a successful career but is not out to his family.

Furthermore, he is in a same-sex relationship that he also keeps under the radar.
But his life takes a pivotal turn when Monique, a woman from Manu’s his past, shows up one day and admits to him that they have a seven-year-old son.
Is Manu prepared to reveal his kid that his dad is also a “mommy” and confess his true identity?
Is Manu ready for the responsibilities of parenthood and raise his son in an unconventional way?
Paolo describes his latest movie as “timely” because it tackles an issue that happens in real life.
“Ang gusto naming ipakita is a different kind of mother. Kasi ang alam natin pag Mother’s Day, the usual na nasa card na puro mama.
“Tama naman ang nasa movie, hindi lang naman babae ang nanay, di ba?”
The actor pointed out that motherhood is not bound by biological attachment, and cited some women who assumed the “mother roles” to children even if they are not the ones who gave birth to them. 
“Merong ibang klaseng nanay, yung iba nawala yung nanay at ang naging nanay, yung kapatid, so it’s a different kind of mother,” he explained.
Solenn described the movie as highly relatable to many people these days.
She explained that people’s views on different things, such as sexual orientation, have changed in the last couple of years.
“In a way, people are accepting things more. Pati yung LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community is strong na also.
She continued, “Madaming bansa na ang nag-agree ng gay marriage, the world is opening up little by little, so relatable talaga ang movie.”
People are adapting to change, she explained.
Solenn further mentioned that the society nowadays is more accepting to unconventional situations of people, such as single moms, separated couples, and gay couples.
“Nowadays in the last five years, very open na ang mga tao, so it’s really modern.”
Eric Quizon, who directed the film, said that the premise of the movie has been existing for a long time but it is only now that people are warming up to the idea.
“There are a lot of parents na ganyan. It’s just that because of how Filipinos view it. Syempre, religion pa rin (may malakas na influence).
“But ang maganda kasi now, people have become more socially accepting, yung social awareness mas okay na,” he pointed out.
“They dont mind, they’ve been open about their sexuality as compared to before. Mas open na sila ngayon.
“Parents who come from LGBT groups mas relaxed na sila of handling situations like this, and kahit sa mga bata, mas open na ang understanding nila.” 
Paolo also admitted that he feels the pressure to do good in this movie, especially that his 2016 blockbuster hit movie, Die Beautiful, earned him acting awards here and abroad.
Paolo’s role as Trisha Echevarria, gave him the Best Actor award in the 2016 Tokyo International Film Festival and 42nd Metro Manila Film Festival. He also bagged the Film Ambassador Award by the Film Development Council of the Philippines. 
“Hanggang ngayon, two years ago, tumutuka pa sa mga awards giving bodies ang Die Beautiful. Iba rin kasi yung naging impact ng Die Beautiful. I guess pag may ganong klaseng story ng pelikula, tatatak talaga siya.”
Nevertheless, those recognitions also challenge Paolo to make equally compelling performances in his other projects, just like in My 2 Mommies.
“Lahat ng ginagawa ko gusto ko yung tsina-challenge ko yung sarili ko, so I make sure na 100 percent yung binibigay ko.”
As for his leading lady in his latest movie, Paolo has nothing but good words for Solenn.
This is their first collaboration in an movie, and Solenn is Paolo’s personal choice for the project. 
He says about Filipino-French actress, “Everybody look up to her. I really like her personality, at napakatalented nya. Maganda na, brainy pa, plus na yung fit and sexy! Gusto kong maging s’ya, at gusto ko din si Nico” he giggles.
He even recounted that Solenn would always come early to the studio of Eat Bulaga! every time she would have a production number.
“Laging nauuna sa [Eat] Bulaga! sa studio kasi siya gagawa ng make up niya.”
He continued, “Kahit dito gano’n din siya, maaga. Although minsan galing sa iba pang shooting, pagdating dito, hindi papetiks-petiks. Diretso make-up na.
“Sa shoot pa namin dire-diretso, walang pahinga.
“Very nice, kahit ano’ng ipagawa sa kanya, okay!”
My 2 Mommies top-billed by Paolo Ballesteros, Solenn Heussaff and Maricel Soriano opens in cinemas on May 9. It also stars Joem Bascon, Diane Medina, Marcus Cabais, Debraliz, Mich Liggayu, Billy Ray Gallion and more.

Popularly known as the ElNella loveteam, Janella and Elmo’s onscreen chemistry has been recognized by fans and critics since their team-up was launched in 2016 via primetime series “Born For You” on ABS-CBN. Since then, the two talentend showbiz progenies (Elmos is the son of the late OPM legend Francis Magalona; Janella is the daughter of actress-singer Jenine Desiderio) have been enjoying the limelight as one of their generation’s hottest loveteams.
After several TV specials and blockbuster movies, ElNella is now ready to take a new project with an extraordinary story.

Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan is Meant To Be in Cinemas

KenBie loveteam that started in their hit TV Series “Meant To Be.” Ano now that they landed their first movie, there’s no denying that they (KenBie) are also Meant To Be in cinemas.
This Time I’ll be Sweeter is one of the films displaying a girls perspective when having a crush or in love with a girl and how they can be aggressive to deal with it. The film also is obviously justifying of how we should give chances to love and to the person we love, once loved more than a second chance.[post_ads]
Ken Chan and Barbie Forteza in the film definitely will give you romantic excitements as they really have this nice rapport.
Pros
This Time I’ll Be Sweeter is a sweet, light, bubbly film with some added dramatic tensions plus of course the romance brought by KenBie
Cons
There were some unnecessary scenes and inconsistencies of character dialogues vs actions, poor graphics insertion
Movie Rating: 3/5

This Time I’ll Be Sweeter is worth a try! not bad 🙂

In this movie, Barbie plays Erika, who has a crush on her classmate, Tristan, played by Ken. The two become closer, but Erika is left heartbroken after they part. Years later, as a reporter, Erika covers an accident which coincidentally involves Tristan’s family. The call of duty prompts Erika to communicate with Tristan. The pair reconnect and Erika helps Tristan recover from a misfortune. But is Erika prepared to get hurt again? Will love be sweeter for them the second time?
