Angelina Jolie Pitt, Liam Hemsworth, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, One Direction, Selena Gomez, SpongeBob SquarePants, Fifth Harmony, The Voice and Austin & Ally were among this year\u2019s fan favorites, winning orange blimps at Nickelodeon\u2019s 28th Annual Kids\u2019 Choice Awards <\/b>last March 28. The show premiered in Asia on Monday, <\/b>March 30.Hosted by recording artist\/actor and kids\u2019 pick for Favorite Male Singer Nick Jonas, the awards were broadcast from Los Angeles\u2019 legendary \u201cFabulous\u201d Forum, where kids celebrated their favorites from the worlds of film, music, television and more. Kids from around the world cast more than 500 million votes, a record-breaking tally.<\/span><\/div>\n

Multi-talented host Jonas opened the show with a stunning performance of his Billboard Top 10 smash, \u201cChains,\u201d and number-one radio hit, \u201cJealous.\u201d Backed by tween metal trio Unlocking the Truth, his theatrical set also featured a celeb-filled video montage, 3D elements and aerialists. Hip-hop phenomenon Iggy Azalea was joined by Academy Award and Grammy-winner Jennifer Hudson onstage in a bold and dynamic rendition of their hit \u201cTrouble,\u201d which continued the storyline of their popular music video. In an epic finale, Aussie pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer\u2019s powerful performance of \u201cWhat I Like About You\u201d literally blew out the slime-filled speakers, flooding the stage with thousands of gallons of slime.<\/span><\/div>\n

This year\u2019s Kids\u2019 Choice Awards proved to be as messy as ever, from Jennifer Lopez presenting Jonas with his award and a surprise sliming; to the Favorite Family TV Show stars of Modern Family getting doused in goo; Jonas chugging a mug of slime in a \u201cDare or Dare\u201d slime challenge; and a backstage pie fight between Chris Pratt and the cast of Henry Danger<\/i>.<\/span><\/div>\n

The stars of The Thundermans<\/a><\/i> cleaned up the special live vote during the show, which garnered over seven million votes. They beat out the casts of Bella and the Bulldogs<\/i><\/a> and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn<\/a><\/i> and received the deluxe treatment from the first-ever human slime car wash complete with conveyer, spinning brushes, swinging flaps, spraying nozzles and, of course, tons of slime.<\/span><\/div>\n

Kids and families paid tribute to their favorites by casting votes in 23 categories, from 20 February to 28 March, including the newly introduced Favorite Talent Competition Show, Favorite Family TV Show, Most Addicting Game and Favorite New Artist. Fans were able to vote for their favorites across all of Nickelodeon\u2019s digital platforms including Nick-Asia.com<\/a><\/i> and through Twitter <\/span><\/a>using #KCA.<\/span><\/div>\n

Indonesian idol group JKT48 won the Favorite Asian Act award and in their acceptance speech video, said, \u201cWe are so happy to receive the Favorite Asian Act award. Thanks for voting for us. It’s all because of you!”<\/span><\/div>\n
