Jamie Herrell, Miss Earth-Philippines was crowned and hailed as the Miss Earth 2014, a home court win for the Philippines! Herrell was crowned Miss Earth on Saturday at the University of the Philippines (UP) Theater.
Miss Earth Philippines stands out during the Question and Answer portion, that’s probably her advantage against the other candidates.
“If you win tonight’s crown what will you do to help slowdown or reverse the effects of global warming?”
Herrell answers “Global warming has been known for being a very long overdue issue. That is why if I am crowned tonight I will use my title to inspire others to help our environment and we start with the kids,” she said.
“The kids are the people of tomorrow and if we teach them, they will also help their community,” beauty queen added.
Herrell was joined onstage by Russia’s Anastasia Trusova (Miss Earth Fire), Venezuela’s Maira Alexandra Rodriguez (Miss Earth Water) and USA’s Andrea Neu (Miss Earth Air).
Yoshinoya welcomes Miss Earth 2014 candidatesMiss Earth 2014 candidates was welcomed and greeted by Yoshinoya, days before the coronation occurred, they arrived in three batches, the batch one was held in Yoshinoya Glorietta (read article), the second batch was also in Yoshinoya Glorietta (read article) and the third batch was in Yoshinoya SM North.
Miss Earth-Philippines and now Miss Earth 2014 had a great time in Yoshinoya, Herrell tasted the best-tasting japanese dishes of Yoshinoya and of course to make it more memorable, Herrell had a lot of photos and selfies with the Yoshinoya staff even diners at the place had a chance to have a photo of the Miss Earth beauties.
