The Asian Consulting Group launches magazine-inspired book, “lwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks”

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Asian Consulting Group launched the latest publication und er its name, “Iwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks” on July 29, Monday. 

Celebrities James Reid, Kean Cipriano and Boy Abunda were present during the book launched. Bea Binene is also an Ambassador of ACG but unfortunately did not made it.

The launch was held at the ACG Tax Hub, 9F The lgnacia Place, Quezon City. Insnired by the casual style of magazines, lwas Buwis-it discusses the taves a person is suhiected ta throughout their lives. The book covers a variety of common experiences such as career choices, starting a business, giving gifts, and many more. Iwas Buwis-it will also featu re business tips from Potato Corner CEO Jose Magsa ysay, Jr., and interviews with James Reid and Boy Abunda. 

“The goal of the book is to help people understand taxes – not the technical knowledge, just the understanding of why we’ re taxed, how are we taxed, and what kind of taxes we pay,” said ACG Founding Chairman Mon Abrea, “Iwas Buwis-it won’t be about how to file this return or pay that tax. The book is about life in general -your careers, your ideals, or even your busin ess ideas.” Like its previous publications, Iwas Buwis-it is part of ACG’s advocacy of helping taxpayers by educating them. If taxpayers know more about taxes, then they can avo id committing unnecessary violations. 

To further this advocacy, the Asian Consulting Group has also led seminars and consultations th roughout the country. At its main office, the company also conducts the Tax Hub Talks, which features a variety of topics. The Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea has also written other publications for the non-profit organization Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines, including the bestselling tax handbook, “Got A Question About Taxes? Ask The Tax Whiz!” as part of his advocacy. “A lot of people are afraid of taxes, but whether we like it or not, we have to pay taxes,” said the ACG Founder. “If we make taxes more accessible and easier to understand, then maybe people won’t be afraid of it.”
