MANILA – On October 19 (Wednesday, Philippine time), Apple released two new iPad models and an updated Apple TV 4K.
The M2 processor in the new iPad Pro is rumored to be 15% quicker than its predecessor in terms of processing power, 35% faster in terms of graphics performance, and 40% more capable of machine learning operations than its predecessor’s neural processing unit. The enhancements to speed might lead to higher performance in video games, multimedia editing, and graphics.
If you hover your finger 12 mm above the screen on the new iPad Pro with the second-generation Apple Pencil, you’ll get a sneak peek at your mark before you make it. If you hover the Pencil over a text field on the iPad, you’ll see a preview of the text before you type.
The tablet is also compatible with the upcoming version of WiFi, called 6E.
The 11-inch iPad Pro will cost P55,990 in the Philippines, while the 12.9-inch model will cost P75,990. The Philippines has not yet been given a confirmed release date.
In contrast to its predecessor, the home button has been eliminated from the front of the new iPad (10th generation, non-Pro form), creating a sleek and seamless all-screen 10.9-inch design. When the tablet is held in its usual portrait posture, the Touch ID button now appears in its new location in the top right corner. In the place of the A13 Bionic chip, it uses the A14. It will run on iPadOS16, much like the iPad Pro.
The base model with 64GB of storage will cost P29,990, while the top-end model with 256GB of storage would set you back P39,990. As of yet, there has been no word on a Philippine release date.
The A15 Bionic chip is found in the new Apple TV 4K, and it adds HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatibility. The unit may be purchased with either WiFi or WiFi and Ethernet. In earlier versions, Ethernet wasn’t an available extra.
Soon, Apple TV’s Siri will be able to distinguish individual voices, allowing it to recommend programmes that are particularly relevant to the viewer. According to Apple, Siri will soon be accessible on Apple TV in the countries of Denmark, Luxembourg, and Singapore, among the 30 countries and areas where it will debut this year.
To be revealed at a later time is the availability and pricing for both the WiFi-only and WiFi+Ethernet models.
