Little did we know that this visit would be more special than we could have imagined.
To our astonishment, Joel Torre himself was present at the Bolabog branch during our visit. We approached him and had a little chat about his incredible career and our admiration for his work. I even showed him a photo from a memorable encounter during the press conference of the film “On the Job” back in 2013. It was a moment of shared nostalgia and appreciation for the journey of Philippine cinema, and it was truly delightful to meet him on the island.
