Here’s the complete list of 40th Metro Manila Film Festival Awards. English Only Please, Bonifacio and Kubot dominate the awards. EOP bagged all of the major awards such as Best Actor and Actress award for Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado. English Only Please also bagged Best Original Story, Best Editing, Best Screenplay. Surprisingly, or some agrees that top-grossing film this year Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin and Feng Shui didn’t received any award. Before the awards night, many netizens complain about the process of assessing the top-grossing film because they see a problem that’s not fair. Some Cinemas don’t show all the movies but only show these super mainstream movies. In the end, maybe these mainstream movies are just for these Top Grossing awards.
