Pet parents of all ages recently had the chance to mingle with the officers and staff of Bow & Wow and CARA (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals) Welfare Philippines. The occasion was an outdoor fundraising event for neglected and homeless dogs & cats. Venue was the spacious Robinsons Magnolia Garden, which was transformed into a festive area for both pet parents and their furbabies.
Shown is Bow & Wow brand director Pam So-Suarez with her pet dog Hitler in tow as she welcomed guests at the Bow & Wow and CARA benefit dinner.,
Pups ruled the fun outdoor fundraiser that was a rousing success. The evening’s emcees werecelebrity animal advocates Tim Yap and Tessa Prieto-Valdes. Mr. Yap grew up with almost a dozen dogs plus other animals, eventually becoming a pet parent himself, while Ms. Prieto-Valdes likewise has a household full of pets.

Taking centerstage attention were some of the Laguna pitbulls, including Brutus and Mama, traumatized by dog fighting rings and rehabilitated by CARA.
Special activities and entertainment added gaiety to the event. All (100 percent) proceeds (ticket sales reached P250,000) were turned over to CARA to help cover the organization’s operational expenses in caring for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats.
The Benefit Dinner event’s unique attractions included a spot for pawprint keepsakes, a caricature station, a design-your-own cupcakes area. There was a wide array of all-natural treats at the pet buffet table from Bow & Wow and ALL4PETSParty.
The special human buffet was served by GaitaFores’ Cibo di M. Other event partners included Planet Grapes, Cat Café Manila, WhenInManila.com, Ogilvy Public Relations, and Robinsons Magnolia. The evening’s entertainers included singer JonaViray, herself a dedicated animal rescuer and pet parent; and Polecats Manila.
Overall, it was a fun event that had a delightful assortment of raffle prizes given away to lucky winners.Prizes included All4PetsParty packages, Cat Café Manila merchandise, Pupculture gift certificates, and an overnight stay at Acuaverde. There were also special awards handed out, including “Best Dressed Pet & Pet Parent” (Pawsome Twosome Award); “Most Congenial Pet & Pet Parent” (Wagging Tails Award); and “Most Photogenic Pet & Pet Parent” (Picture Pawfect Award).
CARA Welfare Philippines spays and neuters dogs & cats, nurses them back to health, treats and gets them ready to get in permanent loving homes. During the fundraising dinner event, a continuous slide presentation gave guests an overview of CARA’s thrusts.
Bow & Wow, the first and only all-natural pet store for dogs and cats, has the vision of transforming pet owners into pet parents. Stores are located at: Level 6 of Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City; at the lower ground floor of Greenbelt 5, Makati City; at the 2nd floor, Al Fresco, Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City; at the ground floor of Excelsior in Eastwood City, Libis, Q.C.; Ayala Center, Cebu; and now in Nuvali, Sta.
