The Vivo HoopBattle Championship Philippines is the first basketball event of its kind to be held outside of China. Philippines was the chosen destination this year because of the Filipinos’ passion for basketball. Presented by Vivo Philippines in partnership with Ayala Malls, Inc. and ABS-CBN Sports, the Vivo HoopBattle Championship featured 3×3 squads from the 48-team field, with only two winning teams receiving a cash prize of Php 200,000 at the championship, along with trip to Guangzhou,China to compete with other Asian teams in the HoopBattle Finals in August. The top two teams who battled it out hard in the court and emerged victorious were Team Metro Star Realty and Team Core.
