The actress and television anchor Toni Gonzaga is Shopee’s newest endorsement, and social media users are reacting negatively to her.
Gonzaga was widely known as the brand’s next endorsement before the unveiling as a result of a teaser that was issued on Wednesday, September 28. This was subsequently verified at a media gathering on September 29.
Gonzaga gained notoriety when she backed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte, the winning team in the 2022 national elections.

The TV presenter also had a contentious interview with Marcos prior to the 2022 elections, which was accused for “whitewashing” the horrors committed under Martial Law.
For what it’s worth, Toni Gonzaga continued to thank everyone who had mentioned her on social media for their remarks regarding her serving as the brand ambassador for Shopee, both favorable and bad. Toni claimed that despite the criticism, the brand is being promoted. Negative publicity, as they say, is still publicity.
