Comedian Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol made an emotional appearance while carrying the proof and reported to Senator Raffy Tulfo.
This is as a result of Elizabeth “Elize” Estrada, her former manager and friend, allegedly defrauding and exploiting her.
On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, Herlene personally went to the public service program’s studio to submit the complaint against Estrada.
When Willie Revillame was a co-host of the show, Herlene and Elize first met at the Wowowin studio.
He is my buddy, and I asked him to help me out during the epidemic since I have no work, the comedian stated. “We don’t have a contract. I came to her.
In Wowowin, she became my friend. I believed her. She comes to mind as my mum.
“I went up to her and said, “Maybe you have rackets. Just cut me [the commission],”
“because during the epidemic I had nothing. One of those who donated [the rackets] was him.”
But Estrada is accused of betraying his faith in her.
Herlene then brought up the occasion where Estrada allegedly failed to pay her the talent fee that was owed.
“I started endorsing the item. Then they left [the money] on the first day of our picture session.
She stated, “I know, but I don’t really know because if I had known that, of course, I would have done my share since I was so exhausted that day.
Herlene argued, “But she didn’t inform me that it was already paid.”
Her projected PHP200,000 talent fee for the aforementioned product never materialized.
Herlene claimed to have received more than a million pesos in compensation for endorsing various products, but she was unable to utilize it because Estrada allegedly stole it.
Herlene reportedly objected to Estrada’s demand that she take a 30% cut of her talent fee from appearances on television.
But he highlighted that she is the one who speaks with clients directly.
“She wants to take the money away from me and I know him there.
Herlene remarked, “She insisted he had to take 30% of whatever I worked for.”
Again, Herlene sobbed in self-pity.
“In the end, I didn’t think that even with my TV appearances, he had to [receive a commission]; she just wants to pass him by.
Estrada allegedly failed to pay her talent fees, although she appears to be the one who is responsible for them.
Herlene continued to cry as she described: “She said one thousand a day for eight months, charged me, and this is her calculation: the one where they resided, then she picked me up.
“The driving lesson follows. I learned from his brother, a police officer. She just brought her newly-trained driver son and I.
Herlene’s sobbing narrative continued, “And I stayed there with them for one to two months. It’s like I’m still the one who owes him money.”
Herlene stated that she seeks redress for what transpired to her.
Tulfo’s staff tried to get Estrada’s side about Herlene’s complaints, but the person who answered the phone said she was not at her home.
The resident legal counsel of Tulfo’s public service program, Atty. Garreth Tungol that Herlene can file complaints of qualified theft or estafa against Estrada.
