Titled “Sama-Samang Ihatid ang Ibang Saya ng Pasko,” TV5’s Christmas ID banners the theme “Iba ang Pasko ‘Pag Sama-Sama,” which encapsulates the joy of celebrating this year’s holiday season with our loved ones.

“As we learn to adjust to the new normal, we have gradually returned to face-to-face events, onsite meetings, and catching up with friends again. ABS-CBN has been producing Christmas Station IDs since 2000. The first one, “Bro, Ikaw ang Star ng Pasko”, featured then-newcomers Sarah Geronimo and Jericho Rosales. It was followed by “Magkasama Tayo sa Kwento ng Pasko” in 2001, which introduced the now-traditional use of Tagalog lyrics set to a mix of traditional carols and popular Christmas songs.

In 2002, ABS-CBN again innovated by using all original compositions for their station ID. The song “Pasko Na Naman” became so popular that it charted on various radio stations nationwide, and even had a cover version released by Filipino rock band Rivermaya.

The following year, 2003, saw the release of “Thank You Ang Babait Ninyo”. This was ABS-CBN’s way of saying thank you to all the viewers who supported the network through its tough times during the EDSA Revolution earlier that year.

2004’s “Sa may Katawanan” is notable for being one of the few ABS-CBN Christmas IDs that did not feature any celebrities or well-known personalities. Instead, it focused on celebrating the heroism of everyday Filipinos who helped others despite facing difficulties in their own lives.
