Veteran host Boy Abunda expressed a net of emotions as he addressed speculation about his supposed network transfer in his first in-person media conference Monday in Quezon City.
Regarded as an ABS-CBN pillar, Abunda has been rumored to be in the process of switching networks. It’s a prospect that tears him apart, he said on the sidelines of his launch as the endorser of the international remittance app Sendwave.
“That’s not an easy decision. As I talk now, hindi talaga madali,”
He told ABS-CBN News, responding to a question about being torn between staying or moving on.
Abunda tried constantly to avoid the press’s queries, but he ended up expressing his feelings about the matter, even emphasizing the mortality of his own renown.
Nothing is set in stone for the time being, he emphasized.
“‘Di ako nagsisinungaling sa pagsabi ko pa alam. “May mga kausap na ako, but wala akong pinipirmahan,”
What matters most is that he will follow his passion in the next stage of his career while keeping his contacts.
“Ang maganda, I will make certain that I do not damage bridges if I am forced to choose between TV5 and [GMA] 7. “I will make certain that I am available in the morning,”
“I appreciate interpersonal interactions.”
That is what makes the entire procedure complicated. I’ll always claim that if I’m going to be late, I’ll watch Channel 7. Lumipad ako sa ABS-CBN. At the same time, I did not accomplish this alone.
“Ang hirap talaga kasi dami kong relasyong pinapangalagaan,”
Abunda also refuted that a group is preventing him from moving forward, emphasizing that his decision would be based on his own creative requirements to return to his origins in television.
“Doon ako sa nakakaunawa sa sitwasyon kung nasaan ako ngayon kung nasaan ako ngayon. “I’m just 28 years old,” he explained. “I’m not starting a new job.” I’ve been doing it for a long time. For want of a better description, my malaos is malapit. We’re all leaving. If there is one unbreakable rule in show business, it is that nothing lasts forever.”
“So I’m at the point where I want to return to television.” “I want to be allowed to do what I do best,”
Aside from his online and sponsorship duties as a host, Abunda is now working on a documentary honoring entertainment queen Vilma Santos’ 60th showbiz jubilee.
