An energetic Guia Gomez (Outgoing San Juan City Mayor) faced her media friends recently to talk about anything else putting side politics.
Mayor Guia is 70-ish already but you can really say she’s really still kicking at her age, she talked about how she loved to cook and being specific in this spanish dish called “Bacalao,” she said that according to his son Senatorial candidate JV Ejercito, her Bacalao is the best among the rest. She’s also proud to tell that apart from Bacalao she used to be an expert when it comes to Paella and Bulalo. But yes “She only have used to,” now she only cooks Bacalao since she aged. She jokes “I used to cook these dishes by myself but later on I taught everyone in the house to cook for them to cook for me,” she laughs. Since lenten season is coming, Mayor Guia in fact, arranged a lunch for her media friends to personally taste her expertise “Bacalao”
Talking about Mayor Guia’s son Senatorial candidate JV Ejercito, she reminisced how she used to tough love on JV as she mentioned she have used belts and other forms of punishment JV experienced from her but she said it was a form of tough love and as we see from senator JV, we may say she has a great mother like Mayor Guia for producing such a man like him.
Mayor Guia is outgoing on her post as San Juan City mayor as she finishes her last term this year, you can see how much she has been attached from San Juan, she said that San Juan is a bit underdog from its neighbor city since its the smallest but she is proud to say that San Juan is in the center and that it’s shaped heart.
