Vhong, who is now jailed at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male Dormitory in Taguig City, was granted parole by the Taguig Regional Court Branch 69 on Tuesday evening, December 6, 2022.
According to the release order signed by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan, Vhong has secured one million pesos (P1M) bond and is now free to go.
“You are hereby directed to release from custody accused FERDINAND “VHONG” HIPOLITO NAVARRO for having filed the necessary cash bond in the amount of ONE MILLION PESOS (Php1,000,000) under Official Receipt No. 9022573 dated 06 December 2022, which cash bond was APPROVED by this court for his provisional liberty,” according to the release order sent to the jail warden.
“This order is for the above-mentioned case alone, and inasmuch as there is no order in any other matter requiring him to stay in your care.”

Tanya Bautista, Vhong’s wife, picked him up at the Taguig City Jail.
“Sobrang, sobrang joyful,” Tanya said in an interview with ABS-CBN News. “It’s going to be a great Christmas, right? A really good Christmas for the family.”
“We were given bail, and we are really grateful,” she said of the court’s decision to release Vhong.
According to Niko Baua of ABS-CBN News, as the actor-TV presenter was released, the prisoners of the Taguig City Jail screamed his name.
He even tweeted, “Vhong Navarro with his wife and lawyer before leaving the Taguig City Jail.” Vhong lost some weight while incarcerated. Inmates chanted, ‘Vhong Navarro! Navarro, Vhong! Navarro, Vhong! , upon his release.”
Taguig RTC Branch 69 approved Vhong’s plea for temporary release while the non-bailable rape case brought against him by Deniece Cornejo in January 2014 was heard.
Vhong was arrested on September 19, 2022, in the NBI facility, and was transported to the Taguig City Jail on November 21, 2022.
Vhong is rumored to be taking a few days off before returning to It’s Showtime.
